El Hospital St. Josef en Kupferdreh es un hospital en el barrio de Kupferdreh en Essen. Es gestionado por la Katholische Kliniken Ruhrhalbinsel gGmbH, que desde 2014 forma parte del grupo Contilia.
Los orígenes del Hospital St. Josef de Essen-Kupferdreh se remontan a los esfuerzos de las franciscanas de Waldbreitbach, que fundaron una sucursal en Kupferdreh el 14 de mayo de 1895, donde cuatro hermanas se dedicaron a la atención ambulatoria de pacientes. Las hermanas recolectaron donaciones para la construcción de un hospital. La parcela fue adquirida por la Asociación Católica de Construcción de Hospitales en 1900 en el terreno del antiguo Feldmannshof. Esta asociación fue fundada el 31 de marzo de 1900 por el primer párroco y deán de la comunidad de St. Josef, Friedrich Schwermann, y todavía existe hoy como St. Josef-Krankenhaus e.V.
