L'ospedale St. Josef di Kupferdreh è un ospedale situato nel quartiere di Kupferdreh a Essen. È gestito dalla Katholische Kliniken Ruhrhalbinsel gGmbH, che dal 2014 fa parte del gruppo Contilia.
Le origini dell'ospedale St. Josef di Essen-Kupferdreh risalgono agli sforzi delle suore francescane di Waldbreitbach, che il 14 maggio 1895 fondarono una filiale a Kupferdreh, dove quattro suore si dedicarono all'assistenza sanitaria ambulatoriale. Le suore raccoglievano offerte per la costruzione di un ospedale. Il terreno per questo scopo fu acquistato dall'associazione cattolica per la costruzione di ospedali nel 1900, sui terreni dell'ex Feldmannshof. Questa associazione fu fondata il 31 marzo 1900 dal primo parroco e decano della parrocchia di St. Josef, Friedrich Schwermann, e oggi esiste ancora come St.-Josef-Krankenhaus e.V.
