Dreisbach es la localidad más pequeña del municipio de Mettlach en el distrito de Merzig-Wadern. Hasta finales de 1973, Dreisbach era un municipio independiente. En Dreisbach hay un albergue juvenil muy visitado.
Dreisbach se encuentra directamente en la curva del Saar. La localidad lleva el nombre del arroyo que desemboca allí en el Saar. El curso superior del arroyo se llama Salzbach. El nombre de la desembocadura proviene del gótico Drinsan, que significa caer o precipitarse.
