El Elmpter Wald es una zona boscosa al oeste de Elmpt, Alemania, hasta la frontera germano-holandesa. El borde oeste está formado por un precipicio del terraplén medio al terraplén alto del Mosa. Aquí el paisaje sube de unos 30 metros a más de 50 metros. La reserva natural Elmpter Schwalmbruch, con el valle de la Swalm, limita el bosque por el norte. Al sur, el área boscosa se conecta con el Parque Nacional De Meinweg. En el oeste y sur se encuentra, contra la frontera germano-holandesa, el área natural de 250 ha de Lüsekamp und Boschbeektal.
El Elmpter Wald está atravesado por muchos caminos de grava, y por lo tanto es popular entre senderistas, ciclistas de montaña y ciclistas de grava.
