Vordingborg es una ciudad danesa de la costa sur de Selandia. Es la capital y mayor localidad del municipio de Vordingborg, en la región administrativa de Selandia. Tiene 11.686 habitantes en 2013.
El nombre de la ciudad fue Worthingburg en el siglo XII. Wurthing es el nombre antiguo de la isla de Oringe , donde se construyó el castillo de la ciudad, y su nombre a su vez significa posiblemente "lugar ancho" o "lugar de vigilancia". La terminación -burg significa "castillo".
