Calatayud es un municipio y ciudad española de la provincia de Zaragoza, en la comunidad autónoma de Aragón. Con 19 870 habitantes , se trata del cuarto municipio más poblado de la comunidad autónoma, tras las capitales de provincia. Calatayud, situado junto al curso del río Jalón, es capital de la comarca y del partido judicial que lleva su nombre. Hay un centro de la UNED. Se encuentra la ACLOG del Ejército de Tierra de España. El Ayuntamiento de Calatayud, en sesión plenaria de 19 de octubre de 2009, decidió conceder, como máxima distinción, a la Academia de Logística del Ejército de Tierra, la Medalla de Oro de la Ciudad.
