Huécija es una villa y un municipio español de la provincia de Almería en la comunidad autónoma de Andalucía, situado en la comarca de la Alpujarra Almeriense, en el valle del Andarax y a 31 km de la capital de la provincia, Almería. En el año 2017 contaba con 501 habitantes .
La localidad se ubica en la margen derecha del barranco del Agua y las faldas del cerro de la Cruz a una altitud de 411 msnm. Su término municipal presenta una orografía irregular y se diferencia la parte de la Sierra de Gádor con grandes elevaciones y la parte situada en la depresión del río Andarax formada por pequeños cerros y barrancos.
