Abrera[4] es una villa y municipio de la comarca del Bajo Llobregat, provincia de Barcelona, situado en Cataluña, España.
Abrera se encuentra situada al extremo norte de la comarca, extendiéndose a ambos lados del río Llobregat. Se sitúa a 39 kilómetros de la capital catalana. Los habitantes están distribuidos entre el núcleo urbano , el núcleo antiguo diferenciado de Santa María de Vilalba y las antiguas urbanizaciones, ahora transformadas en barrios: Can Vilalba, Ca n'Amat, Les Carpes i Sant Miquel.
