Gaucín es un municipio español perteneciente a la comunidad autónoma de Andalucía. Está situado en el oeste de la provincia de Málaga, en el Valle del Genal, siendo una de las poblaciones que conforman la comarca de la Serranía de Ronda.
Es el primer pueblo de la Serranía de Ronda que se encuentra en la carretera que une el Campo de Gibraltar con la ciudad de Ronda. Es uno de los pueblos blancos que se encajan en las laderas de las montañas que acogen al río Genal.
