Cedillo es un municipio español de la provincia de Cáceres, en Extremadura. Es el municipio más occidental de la comunidad autónoma y se sitúa a unos 274 m de altitud. Pertenece al partido judicial[4] y subárea comercial de Valencia de Alcántara. Se encuentra a 115 km de Cáceres y a 123 km de las costas portuguesas del océano Atlántico. El pueblo fue fundado por portugueses que se establecieron en la zona en el siglo XVIII y, tras su cesión a España, perteneció a Herrera de Alcántara hasta 1838, cuando se formó el municipio.
