El Valle de Mena es un municipio[1] situado en la provincia de Burgos, comunidad autónoma de Castilla y León , comarca de Las Merindades y partido judicial de Villarcayo.Limita al sur con los municipios burgaleses de Valle de Losa, Junta de Traslaloma y Merindad de Montija; al norte con la comarca vizcaína de Las Encartaciones; al este con el alavés Valle de Ayala y al oeste con el cántabro Valle de Soba.
