El Parque Güell se encuentra en el barrio de Gràcia en una montaña. Aquí puedes venir por varias razones, como disfrutar de la naturaleza o pasear, pero sobre todo para ver una de las obras maestras de Antoni Gaudí y disfrutar de la impresionante vista de la ciudad de Barcelona.
El Parque Güell se formó al unir dos fincas, Can Muntaner de Dalt y Can Coll i Pujol. Estas fueron adquiridas por el conde Eusebi Güell en 1899, quien le pidió a Gaudí que construyera un parque residencial cerca de su finca, Can Muntaner. La intención era crear una 'ciudad-jardín privada' para los ricos barceloneses.
Desde 2013, se debe pagar por la parte monumental del Parque Güell (entrada principal, el lagarto, Sala Hipóstila, Plaça de la Naturalesa y viaductos). Los tickets cuestan €7 online y €8 en taquilla.
