Tibi es un municipio de la Comunidad Valenciana, España. Situado en el interior de la provincia de Alicante, en la comarca de la Hoya de Alcoy, y en la subcomarca tradicional y geográfica de la Hoya de Castalla .[2]
Se trata de una pequeña población de 1634 habitantes situada sobre una colina, localizada entre el Maigmó y la peña Mitjorn. Enfrente se encuentran, sobre otra colina, los restos de un antiguo castillo árabe del siglo X. Por su término municipal pasa el río Verde o Monnegre, que a 3 km de la localidad forma el pantano de Tibi.
El clima es mediterráneo de interior, con veranos secos y calurosos e inviernos breves, relativamente fríos. La temperatura media anual es de 16º y 421 mm de precipitaciones. [3]
