Arona es un municipio perteneciente a la provincia de Santa Cruz de Tenerife, en la isla de Tenerife —Canarias, España—.
Si bien la capital municipal se halla en las medianías, mayor importancia económica y poblacional tienen Valle de San Lorenzo, con una actividad agrícola de exportación, y sobre todo el sector costero. Las poblaciones turísticas —Playa de Las Américas, Los Cristianos, Las Rosas, Costa del Silencio, Palm-Mar...— han transformado sustancialmente el área litoral, siendo asimismo el punto de embarque para la isla de La Gomera.
