En 1950 se instaló en los bosques de Arbolí el campamento militar de los Castillejos, que también ocupaba tierras de la Guingueta y de la Mussara. Se destinó a las milicias universitarias y llegó a tener 4.000 hombres en verano. Hoy en día no se usa.
