Se extiende de oeste a este, desde el municipio de Labastida hasta el de Lapoblación,[1] elevándose desde las orillas del Ebro en su entrada en La Rioja por la zona denominada las Conchas de Haro a 445 m.ascendiendo sobre tierras alavesas separando la Rioja Alavesa del resto de Álava, para volver a entrar en La Rioja en Rivas de Tereso a 945 m. y de nuevo a Álava hasta Lapoblación.
