La Acción de Artaza fue un enfrentamiento armado durante la Primera Guerra Carlista en los valles de las Amescoas de Navarra entre las tropas isabelinas de Gerónimo Valdés y las carlistas de Tomás de Zumalacárregui el 22 de abril de 1835.
Cuatro personas que participaron en la acción: Luis Fernández de Córdova, su hermano Fernando Fernández de Córdova, el inglés C.F. Henningsen y Juan Antonio de Zaratiegui, dejaron escritos sus recuerdos de ella. Tomando como base estos testimonios, más las alocuciones y el parte que redactó Valdés, es posible reconstruir con la mayor fidelidad su desarrollo.
