Actualmente se está llevando a cabo una reforma completa del complejo ferroviario de la explanada de Canfranc con el objetivo de transformar la histórica estación de pasajeros en un hotel y el resto de los edificios en una de las tres sublocalizaciones del Museo Ferroviario de Aragón, una nueva estación de viajeros, centro de visitantes del Camino de Santiago, alojamiento e instalaciones para uso terciario, además de la urbanización de dos grandes plazas peatonales, zonas verdes y aparcamientos.
