Cueva de Altamira y arte rupestre paleolítico de la cornisa cantábrica[1] es la denominación bajo la que se encuentran agrupadas 18 cuevas situadas en diferentes regiones del norte de España que son representativas del apogeo del arte rupestre paleolítico, desarrollado en Europa entre los años 35 000 y 11 000 a. C. Las cuevas están distribuidas en tres comunidades autónomas diferentes: diez de ellas en Cantabria, cinco en Asturias y tres en el País Vasco.[2]
