Este campo fue renovado alrededor del año 2000 reemplazando al antiguo campo conocido como "Alamea".
Aunque tiene muchas similitudes con el antiguo, ha sido modificado por la construcción de aparcamientos municipales. Actualmente la plaza se distingue por su fuente central , realizada con un molino de aceite, así como por sus macizos de flores y faroles.
