El Convento de las Mercenarias Descalzas está situado en la Plazuela de la Botica, entre la pequeña Basílica de Santa Maria de l'Asunción y la Iglesia de Sant Pere.
Es el último monasterio que queda en Arcos. Fue fundado en 1642 por donación de una directora de Arcos, doña Beatriz de la Calle y Natera. La capilla alberga los retablos barrocos más importantes: una estatua de la Madonna della Misericordia y otra del patrón San José.
En su interior, entre otras obras de arte, se encuentran la imagen del patrón de la ciudad, San Miguel, un niño Jesús atribuido a Roldana y un ornamentado Bargueño.
