Esta instalación es una residencia juvenil durante el curso escolar. Funciona como albergue juvenil en el período comprendido entre el 15 de julio y el 20 de agosto.Dispone de 96 plazas para grupos (mínimo de 10 personas), con reserva efectuada hasta el 30 de junio. No admite reservas individuales ni posteriores a esa fecha.El albergue depende de la Consellería de Política Social e Xuventude, de la Xunta de Galicia.
