En el corazón de la ciudad, en una mansión renacentista, el museo municipal Au fil du papier es el único museo de Francia que presenta una colección tan amplia de objetos de papel maché lacado.
Desde cajas de rapé hasta salones del Segundo Imperio, los objetos expuestos se fabricaron en Europa en el siglo XIX.
El museo cuenta también la historia de la ciudad de Pont-à-Mousson: sus orígenes medievales en torno al puente sobre el Mosela, la creación de la primera universidad de Lorena en el siglo XVI, la vida del Gran Mariscal del Palacio Duroc, la historia de la familia Adt y de la industria del papel maché en Pont-à-Mousson, las fundiciones (Pont-à-Mousson SA) y la Imagerie Mussipontaine.
