El Museo Jean Racine está ubicado en La Ferté-Milon, en el departamento de Aisne, al suroeste de Soissons. Fue creado en la casa de los abuelos del escritor, donde Jean Racine pasó su infancia. Huérfano a la edad de tres años, Jean Racine fue acogido por sus abuelos paternos que vivían en esta casa. Allí vivió hasta 1651, cuando se fue a las Pequeñas Escuelas de Port-Royal, donde acompañó a su abuela viuda, Marie Desmoulins. Allí se unió a su hija Agnès, futura abadesa de Port-Royal.
