En el siglo XV, la poderosa nobleza se establece en Uzerche y construye hoteles, grandes casas y castillos. Entre las construcciones de esa época se encuentran el Château Pontier, el Hôtel des Joyet de Maubec, la Maison Boyer-Chammard, la Maison Eyssartier, la Maison de Tayac y el Hôtel de Bécharie. La ciudad se convirtió en la capital de la región de Bas-Limousin cuando en el siglo XVI se estableció una corte real. Uzerche vivió entonces su edad de oro, los nobles hicieron construir grandes casas con tantos torretas como fuera posible, que aún hoy en día determinan el 'skyline' de Uzerche.
