Im 15. Jahrhundert ließ sich der mächtige Adel in Uzerche nieder und baute Hotels, große Häuser und Schlösser. Zu den Bauwerken aus dieser Zeit gehören das Château Pontier, das Hôtel des Joyet de Maubec, die Maison Boyer-Chammard, die Maison Eyssartier, die Maison de Tayac und das Hôtel de Bécharie. Die Stadt wurde Hauptstadt der Region Bas-Limousin, als im 16. Jahrhundert ein königlicher Hof eingerichtet wurde. Uzerche erlebte damals ihr Goldenes Zeitalter, Adelige ließen dort große Häuser mit so vielen Türmchen wie möglich bauen, die noch heute die 'Skyline' von Uzerche prägen.
