El acueducto de Buc tenía como objetivo dirigir el agua recolectada en la meseta de Saclay, al sur de Versalles, hacia las fuentes del parque de Versalles, mejorando así el suministro de agua del parque del castillo.
El acueducto cruza en la localidad de Buc el valle de la Bièvre. La D 938 pasa justo al lado del acueducto. La estructura elevada tiene una longitud de 580 m entre su extremo norte () y su extremo sur (). Cuenta con 19 arcos redondos, que miden 9 m de ancho y hasta 21 m de alto. Su agua fluye por un canal cubierto de losas de piedra de 1 m de ancho y 1,9 m de profundidad.
