La estación de tren de Montreux-Vieux se encuentra en la línea de tren París-Mulhouse y fue la estación de frontera alemana con Francia de 1871 a 1914.
La estación de Montreux-Vieux se sitúa en el kilómetro 456.8 en el departamento de Haut-Rhin en la región de Grand Est. La estación de frontera francesa opuesta era Petit-Croix. Montreux-Vieux se encuentra ya en el oeste de los Vosgos y en la zona tradicionalmente francófona. El Imperio alemán anexó la zona en 1871 por razones militares, ya que estaba a solo unos 10 km de la fortaleza de Belfort.
