La iglesia es de estilo románico-gótico y muestra la evolución de la arquitectura religiosa desde el siglo XI hasta el XIX. En el crucero, la parte más antigua está unida a la nave con tres tramos flanqueados por naves de seis tramos cada una. Destaca la alternancia de pilares: simples y en racimo. Hermoso altar del siglo XV de la Virgen María en uno de los pilares. La nave termina en un ala oeste con dos torres (la sur inacabada, la norte de 1875). El portal, que fue mutilado de sus esculturas durante la Revolución, está coronado por un rosetón muy hermoso

La fachada es obra de Woelfelin de Rouffach en el siglo XIV. En la plaza del crucero se levanta la aguja (antiguo campanario). El coro poligonal es del siglo XIII. Las ventanas son del siglo XIX. Hermosas esculturas en la puerta de la antigua sacristía: el cordero pascual y la "sonrisa de Rouffach" (joven y chica).
