Separado en 1841 del parque de la Patte d'Oie por la construcción del futuro bulevar Roederer, este jardín albergó sucesivamente el jardín escolar de la Sociedad de Horticultura y un parque zoológico en los años 50
El arquitecto paisajista de Reims Edouard Redont creó la cascada y la fuente de agua en 1895 y Jean Claude Nicolas Forestier creó una rosaleda en 1924. El jardín fue rediseñado en 1982 en dos partes "à la Française" y "à l'Anglaise"
Alberga un pabellón neoclásico, sede de la Sociedad de Horticultura de Reims. En el jardín hay muchos árboles y arbustos, entre ellos un ejemplar de "Fau de Verzy".
