El poeta Paul Verlaine nació en Metz el 30 de marzo de 1844. La casa donde nació, cuyo primer piso está dedicado a él, es desde 2012 una casa de escritores, y en diciembre de 2019 recibió el sello Maison d'Illustres.
La visita guiada recorre la biografía del poeta, su obra, la historia local, la literatura y las artes. Se admiten individuos, familias y grupos de hasta 19 personas. Se ruega reservar con al menos 48 horas de antelación.
