De dichter Paul Verlaine werd op 30 maart 1844 geboren in Metz. Zijn geboortehuis, waarvan de eerste verdieping aan hem is gewijd, is sinds 2012 een schrijvershuis en kreeg in december 2019 het label Maison d'Illustres.
De rondleiding gaat over de biografie van de dichter, zijn werk, de lokale geschiedenis, literatuur en kunst. Individuen, gezinnen en groepen tot 19 personen zijn welkom. Reserveer ten minste 48 uur van tevoren.
