La asociación Transversales, creada en 1996, está comprometida con una política de apoyo a los artistas y de construcción de herramientas (enfoques, proyectos) para acercar la creación, las prácticas artísticas y la cultura a la población local. Con la ayuda de numerosos socios y la voluntad de construir un verdadero servicio público cultural local implicado en la creación, tanto en Verdún como en las regiones rurales del centro y norte de Mosa, Transversales organiza una temporada multidisciplinar (circo, teatro, músicas clásicas y del mundo), organiza talleres para profesionales aficionados y crea una red cultural que permite organizar giras en las regiones rurales.
