Situada en el corazón del casco antiguo, la Casa del Mercader data del siglo XVIII. Tiene una fachada de arenisca rosa ricamente decorada que ha sido recientemente renovada. La casa recibió el nombre de su primer propietario, cuyo oficio se sugiere en las esculturas de la esquina. Todos estos indicios sugieren que el propietario de esta casa era un comerciante de especias y productos exóticos que debía abastecer a la corte del rey Estanislao Leszczynski importándolos de ultramar.
