Situata nel cuore della città vecchia, la Casa del Mercante risale al XVIII secolo. La facciata in arenaria rosa, riccamente decorata, è stata recentemente rinnovata. La casa prende il nome dal suo primo proprietario, il cui mestiere è suggerito dalle sculture d'angolo. Tutti questi indizi fanno pensare che il proprietario di questa casa fosse un mercante di spezie e di merci esotiche che doveva rifornire la corte del re Stanislao Leszczynski importandole da oltreoceano.
