La iglesia de Saint-Amé fue inaugurada para la Asunción en 1860 y consagrada 3 años más tarde. Está dedicada a Santa Amé de Remiremont, santa fundadora de Saint-Mont, y a Saint-Blaise
La distribución interior y el mobiliario datan de 1905.
La iglesia anterior, construida a finales del siglo XIV, era una capilla anexa a un hospital. Fue parroquia durante tres siglos. En 1729 se construyó una segunda iglesia, más pequeña. Como en los meses de verano resultaba demasiado pequeña para acoger a todos los visitantes del balneario, hubo que sustituirla.
Así, en 1858, se iniciaron importantes obras sobre planos del arquitecto Léon-Charles Grillot, que se sometieron a la revisión del célebre arquitecto Eugène Viollet-le-Duc. Esta nueva reconstrucción encontró inicialmente la oposición de los vecinos, que consideraban las obras demasiado costosas. Por ello, fue el emperador Napoleón 3 quien tomó la decisión y financió en parte las obras, que finalizaron en 1863.
Fue inscrito en el Inventario Suplementario de Monumentos Históricos en 1995, después de que todo su mobiliario hubiera sido inscrito en 1982.
