Este estanque fue clasificado como "zona natural sensible" en 2004. Se encuentra en un bosque de más de 2 hectáreas creado en 1480 para abastecer a los molinos y serrerías de los alrededores. Está abierto a la pesca desde principios de abril hasta el 11/11 (truchas, cucarachas, tencas, carpas). El bosque pantanoso de alisos situado al final del estanque está reconocido de interés europeo, con juncias que forman touradons (especie de grandes mechones de hierba levantada). Punto de partida de un sendero natural alrededor del estanque, con zona de picnic. Venta de tarjetas de pesca en la Oficina de Turismo.
