Monumento histórico, el castillo de Etelan fue construido a finales del siglo XV, a partir de 1494, lo que lo convierte en el PRIMER castillo renacentista de estilo italiano construido en FRANCIA, 15 años antes que el primer castillo del Loira, Amboise.
El castillo de Etelan está situado en el corazón de la región de Caux Vallée de Seine, entre los puentes de Brotonne y Tancarville, con vistas al último gran meandro del Sena. Morada de Luis XI, François 1er, Catherine de Médicis, Voltaire y Gustave Eiffel, el castillo de Etelan posee una capilla dedicada a Santa Magdalena del primer Renacimiento normando, que el abate Cochet comparó con los castillos de Blois, Chenonceau y Amboise. Su parque es un lugar privilegiado en el que el entorno ha permanecido inalterado durante siglos, y se ha acondicionado para que los visitantes puedan pasear o admirar el lugar.
