La Dordoña serpentea por las laderas calcáreas, formando amplios meandros llamados "cingles". Ya de por sí amplias a la altura de Lalinde, las islas de ripisylve puntean el curso del agua, y los árboles muertos acogen al águila pescadora en migración.
Remontando el río, la presa de Mauzac será interesante en invierno y durante la migración. Se han observado aquí muchas especies notables: charrán del Caspio, paíño, esmerejón común, pato real, zampullín cuellirrojo, etc. Los charranes también pasan por allí.
Remontando el cingle, esta vez por la orilla derecha, se pueden otear los acantilados que dan al meandro en busca del halcón peregrino o del cuervo grande a la altura del puerto de Mauzac, del molino de Traly y de los accesos al río.
