Esta capilla fue construida en el siglo XVIII. Es la antigua capilla del colegio de los Jesuitas, que se trasladó a Verdún en 1570, y está dedicada a Saint-Nicolas, ya que se construyó en el emplazamiento del antiguo hospital medieval de Saint-Nicolas de Gravière. También se llama Buvignier, como el colegio contiguo, en recuerdo de una gran familia de Verdún.
