Junto con el antiguo refectorio, la capilla Sainte-Madeleine es el único edificio que se conserva del monasterio Sainte-Enimie. Este monasterio, cuya influencia marcó la región durante varios siglos, habría sido fundado en el siglo VI por Santa Ilère. Agregado a la abadía benedictina de Monastier-sur-Gazeille (43) en 951, fue uno de los establecimientos monásticos más influyentes hasta la Revolución Francesa.
La capilla lleva el sello de su época y de la riqueza de sus constructores: está construida en un estilo románico muy cuidado, como se desprende de la precisión de la piedra caliza utilizada y de su bóveda de cañón.
Es visible a través de la puerta de entrada.
