La creación oficial de la biblioteca de Auch data de 1791. Esta biblioteca, instalada en la antigua capilla de los Carmelitas del siglo 17, tiene una colección antigua y rica con más de 21000 manuscritos e incunables.
También es un lugar de exposiciones, encuentros con autores, lecturas, conferencias, formaciones, espectáculos, conciertos, cuentos. Sin olvidar la musicoteca que posee una gran selección de álbumes de jazz y clásicos.
