En la calle Mazelle, que domina la ciudad, se encuentra el cementerio militar alemán donde están enterrados 1756 soldados (1748 alemanes y 8 franceses) que murieron en la guerra de 1914-1918.
Algunos murieron en la batalla de Longuyon-Noërs el 24 de agosto de 1914. Otros murieron en Longuyon tras ser heridos en los campos de batalla de la región, ya que durante la ocupación la ciudad de Longuyon tenía varios hospitales.
