En 1997, Lionel Moncla se asoció con sus padres, que gestionaban 24 hectáreas de viñedos, creando la empresa Earl Vignobles Moncla. Fue entonces cuando Max Sans, propietario del Domaine de Darbalot, decidió confiar sus viñedos (7,71 hectáreas) a un equipo que conocía bien. Solidaridad entre generaciones, trabajo duro, sencillez, humildad ante los elementos y la naturaleza. La bodega, que cualquiera puede visitar, está situada en una ruta de senderismo señalizada cerca de una zona de picnic al borde de un lavadero en el bosque. La propiedad está dividida en cuatro bloques principales. Cada parcela tiene su particularidad (exposición, composición del suelo, etc.) y su propio "nombrecito" (Lacroy, la cuesta, Auguste, Millau, Marie-Rose, etc.).
