Al sureste de Niort y del Marais Poitevin, Celles-sur-Belle es un pueblo encantador con un buen patrimonio arquitectónico y un hermoso paisaje marcado por el río "La Belle" que invita a dar largos paseos. Los amantes del patrimonio quedarán encantados con su famosa abadía del siglo XII, un importante centro cultural que acoge exposiciones, academias y festivales de música. No dejes de pasear por sus magníficos jardines de estilo francés o de descubrir la colección de motos de época de Pierre Certain.
Desde 2013, la ciudad ha recibido la etiqueta "Ville en poésie" en reconocimiento a sus esfuerzos por situar la poesía en el centro de la vida cultural local. El Paseo Poético permite combinar un paseo y la lectura de un poema a través de un recorrido patrimonial en el pueblo.
