Un ejemplo más de arquitectura romana. Fue considerado como uno de los principales lugares de peregrinaje. Al oeste de Ferrières-en-Gâtinais, por la antigua Ruta César que comunicaba Sens con Orléans, esta ciudad secundaria de 25 hectáreas era una de las 52 ciudades de aguas termales (Aquae) del Imperio romano.
En el interior del recinto del santuario se oculta la ninfa: sus aguas sagradas, salvaguardadas por la diosa gala Segeta, se creía que tenían el poder de curar a los enfermos y a las mujeres estériles.
Indudablemente, el mejor sitio arqueológico del Loiret.
