Esta fuente ornamental de granito, conocida como la "fuente de Quinault", consta de una pila circular y un alto pedestal central hexagonal, que lleva un busto de piedra del poeta lírico Philippe Quinault. Los instrumentos musicales y la corona de laurel esculpidos en la columna recuerdan la carrera artística de Quinault, protegido del dramaturgo Tristan L'Hermite y colaborador de Lully.
Inaugurado solemnemente en 1852 en memoria de un supuesto muchacho de la localidad, el alcalde de Felletin se sorprendió al descubrir que Philippe Quinault no tenía ninguna relación con Felletin. ¿Una mala interpretación de los archivos había perpetuado este malentendido durante todo este tiempo?
