Questa fontana ornamentale in granito, nota come "fontana Quinault", è costituita da una vasca circolare e da un alto piedistallo centrale esagonale, che reca un busto in pietra del poeta lirico Philippe Quinault. Strumenti musicali e una corona d'alloro scolpita sulla colonna ricordano la carriera artistica di Quinault, protégé del drammaturgo Tristan L'Hermite e collaboratore di Lully.
Inaugurato solennemente nel 1852 in memoria di un presunto ragazzo del luogo, il sindaco di Felletin fu sorpreso di scoprire che Philippe Quinault non aveva alcun legame con Felletin. Un'errata interpretazione degli archivi aveva perpetuato questo equivoco per tutto questo tempo?
