La facultad de Medicina de Montpellier posee un lugar fantástico: el conservatorio de anatomía, con más de 5600 piezas anatómicas y de cera destinadas a la enseñanza.

Creado a finales del siglo XVIII, posee colecciones fascinantes: piezas anatómicas (disecciones anatómico-patológicas), modelos y piezas de cera (lesiones cancerosas y venéreas) y diversas piezas de antropología, embriología, malformaciones, patologías, de esqueletos, instrumentos quirúrgicos, etc. expuestos en vitrinas o en la galería de 60 m de largo y 15 m de alto.

Las colecciones del conservatorio de anatomía de Montpellier fueron clasificadas como monumento histórico en 2004.
