La capilla de Brax fue construida en el siglo XIII, aunque no es posible identificar con certeza a su propietario. ¿Iglesia parroquial o capilla? A día de hoy, las fuentes guardan silencio sobre este tema.
La indicación "parroquia de Brax" o "Brachs" aparece en 1307. Hasta finales de siglo, dependía del arciprestazgo de Cernès y pagaba los diezmos al Colegio Saint-André de Burdeos.
En el siglo XV, ningún texto antiguo o libro de cuentas lo menciona. Sin embargo, en los archivos de la diócesis de Burdeos se menciona una "capilla de Lerre" en Landiras. ¿Es Brax?
Desde principios del siglo XVII hasta 1763, estuvo bajo el control del priorato de Bardenac y de la Compañía de Jesús, que se encargó de las obras de transformación. Durante la Revolución Francesa, fue comprada por Joachim de Chalup, que la transformó en una granja, y luego fue definitivamente abandonada.
